Susan Thrasher is the owner and operator of Southern Brookies Fly Fishing in Lancaster, Tennessee. Susan is a Fly Fishers International Certified Fly Casting Instructor and has been on staff with the Joan Wulff School of Fly Fishing since 2005 where she teaches in the spring each year in the New York Catskills.
This all day class will cover all the basics from A-Z and is limited to 8 people so there will be lots of one-on-one time.
The Beechridge Conference Center is a beautiful site with a stone house on 120 acres and a 10 acre lake. There will be some classroom time and also plenty of time outdoors to practice casting and fishing. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Basic needs are a hat and sun glasses (safety first! always protect your eyes and head) I would reco long pants and close toed shoes. I usually have a jacket or sweater for the inside portion as that can run cool. Susan will have rods for those who don’t have them but if you want to bring your own please feel free to do that.

Kathy Barksdale here. Tucker (Karen Allen) and I are registered. Tucker cannot come on Saturday now due to a family event. The website won’t let me change to 1 registration.
