Recent Tales of Rich & Kerry’s Excellent Adventures

Rich and Kerry Premec began their fly fishing journey in October of 2015. While on a trip to Yellowstone National Park, they witnessed the sport and art of fly anglers on rivers and streams.  Rich was intrigued decided to give it a try. He bought a cheap combo off Amazon and took his first cast at a pond at Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, KY. Within 10 seconds of his popper hitting the water, a nice bass took it and it was game on! After fishing for an hour he went back into the clubhouse where he met someone who suggested he look into NKFF.

Rich attended his first meeting in January 2016 and has been a member since. Soon Kerry started attending meetings and became hooked after a Cumberland River float in October 2016. Over the last 7 years they both have increased their knowledge of the sport through the club, fishing with guides and absorbing as much as they can from podcasts and seminars. Today they consider themselves “destination anglers” and average fishing in 8-12 states per year.
