Spring Northeast Ohio Steelhead Trip
March 26 – 29, 2020
We’ll be traveling to Northern Ohio to fish the tributaries that run into Lake Erie for Steelhead. This trip will be during what is usually considered “prime time” for the Spring Steelhead runs. We have guides booked for the trip (see below) for nine fishers on Friday, 3/27/2020. We’ll be staying at the Red Roof Inn (was Ramada Inn) that has recently been renovated in 2019. Information about costs are below.
If you haven’t been fishing for Steelhead consider this trip. It is the Tug of a lifetime! These fish can run you into your backing in shallow water real quick. They may make several runs and you will want to be ready to run up and down the river with them. It’s a blast!
Sleep Accommodations – Red Roof Inn – see address link – two anglers bunking per room @ $99.23/night including taxes = $49.62/angler/night (double occupancy) = 3 nights @ $148.85/angler for sleep accommodations for the full stay.
Friday, 3/27 (Guided day) with D’Fishin Fools www.steelheadschool.com – cost is $425 for three anglers per guide = $141.67/angler for the day and includes all tackle, flies, and lunch. You bring your waders and dress for weather. Right now I have three guides booked with the service. I have the trip open to 12 and might be able to get an additional guide if there is enough interest.
Total for trip (ESTIMATED) = $290.52 + your gas and food. Plan on eating out.
We’ll be car pooling as much as possible. I will put the trip plan together when I have confirmations on those registered for the trip.
$150 deposit due no later than 3/6/2020.
Trip reservations close on 3/15/2020.

If you are not interested in the Guided day please let me know with a comment on your sign-up or an email via the link in the body of this trip page. I realize that $150 deposit is $1.15 over the full stay at the Inn. I’ll refund anyone that doesn’t stay the full time or the $1.15 when there.

Jack … Not sure if I want to do the guide. Depends on whether Geezer and KS will let me hang with them (and on my $$ situation at the time).
Mike if your going to hang out with the Geezer and KS, your going to need two extra rods , a center pin float rod and a spinning rod to keep up with our catches, I’ll loan you a float rod and make you a convert
