Fly Fishing Summer Camp Day for Boone County Conservation District – 8am – 4pm – we need several NKFF experienced fly fishers to guide summer camp youth fishing Gunpowder Creek at Sperti Park – (M Arnold & others)

Bring your own beverages and lunch or snacks. Transport to & from the creek provided.

By registering for in-person NKFF events during the Covid pandemic you agree to observe the recommended guidelines for safe social gatherings, including practicing safe social distancing, wearing a mask when needed and to wash/sanitize your hands frequently. Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date will not be refunded. This excludes general monthly meetings.

  1. Susan Brown from BCCD has indicated that our volunteers should be there at 9AM and will be transported down the road to the KIVA next to Gunpowder Creek at 9:15. We will need both bags of NKFF Fly Fishing Outfits (8 in each & 16 in all). Fishing Guides (NKFF volunteers) should bring their fishing licenses and fly-fishing gear for warm water species. Most of the fishing will be from shore but wear wading boots. Please bring you own lunch and snacks. Call Mike Arnold at 859-240-5839 for more info.

  2. Just checked the creek at Camp Ernst Road … up maybe a few inches and a little cloudy … if we get no more heavy rain, we should be okay to fish … there’s a 50% chance of rain most of the morning/afternoon but I don’t consider that an event stopper. See you all there!
