We need several NKFF fly fishers to guide youngsters (age 13-15) – fly fishing Gunpowder Creek at Boone County’s Gunpowder Creek Nature Park in Hanover subdivision off Rogers Lane.
Motorized transportation to and from the creek will be provided along with a BOX LUNCH provided by NKFF at 1PM.
Small groups of the youth will be going out at 10:00-11:30, 11:30-1:00 and 2:00-3:30. The youngsters will use the club fly-casting outfits rigged up with new tapered leaders and appropriate flies (provided by the guides).

Plans are changing a bit. As of right now we have 11 youngsters (13 – 15 years) so we will only have ONE FISHING SESSION from 10AM to Noon. We’ll give the students a 15 – 30 casting lesson on the grass and then head to the stream in several small groups. I’ll have the rods setup with new leaders. In addition t Tim G, Wayne N and Sack S above we have four other volunteers (Paul Dusing, Dave Huff, Bruce Lane and Lucas Vessa). Let’s meet at the Gunpowder Creek Nature Park (at end of Sperti Lane off of Hanover BLVD off of Rogers Lane) at 8:30AM. We will watch the weather and Creek conditions to decide if a postponement is necessary.
