Techniques for Fishing Spring Creeks

Bob DeMott grew up in New England where he started fly fishing in the mid-1950s and has been at it ever since. He is a retired English professor at Ohio University, and author or editor of two dozen books, including Astream: American Writers on Fly Fishing (2012) named by Gear Junkie as one of the eleven best books on fly fishing, and Angling Days: A Fly Fisher’s Journals (2019).

He is a Fly Fishers International certified fly casting instructor, and a former trout guide in West Virginia. He is a member of the editorial board of the Anglers’ Club of New York Bulletin, to which he is a frequent contributor, and he is an Editor-at-Large, and regular feature contributor for The Upland Almanac magazine, a national hunt publication.

Bob is a life member of Northern Kentucky Fly Fishers. He lives in Athens, Ohio.
