Text is best but can take calls when available.
Parking is available.
Curtis (Riverbank Kayak) needs a headcount for the shuttle so get your spot reserved on our website.
Shuttle provided with/without your own kayak. $5 fee for river access on your own Kayak. $10 pickup fee at 3 mile for your own kayak. These fees are included in the kayak rental from them.
Also, if you are already signed up and cannot make it, please let us know.
The float will be a few miles, plenty of places to stop/slow down to fish along the way. Curtis and staff will shuttle cars down (for those with their own kayak) and also shuttle anyone back to pick up your car (for those who wish to rent).
I am available for questions at number above.
Please don’t hesitate to text/call if you have questions!
Forecast for the river level on Saturday is 2.7 ft. It will be at 4.7 Wednesday after rain on Tuesday but is forecast to drop and hopefully, the rise and drop doesn’t disturb the fish too much.
Don’t forget to bring your fishing gear. Be prepared for weather, rain jacket, packed lunch, sun block, Indiana license (1-day available on line with IN DNR).
Standard 5-7 wt rods for this area (6-7 is good for smallies). I recommend minnow patterns and poppers for the early a.m. topwater.
