DESCRIPTION:Fly fishing the Deschutes River Salmon Hatch with Callie Freema
 n\, PhD\nCallie Freeman PhD\, is an avid fly angler\, passionate fly fishi
 ng instructor and professional entomologist. Callie\, a native of Lexingto
 n\, KY\, received her master’s degree in Entomology from the University 
 of Kentucky in 2005 followed by her doctorate degree five years later from
  North Carolina State University. Callie is the owner and principal scient
 ist of Parker BioLabs LLC\, a consulting company specializing in contract 
 research and environmental consulting for the golf course industry. Callie
  is the co-editor of the Handbook of Turfgrass Insects and recipient of se
 veral prestigious awards related to teaching and research including the Wa
 tson Fellowship\, Preparing the Professoriate Fellowship and Turfgrass Eag
 le Award.\n\nCallie's love for fly fishing and conservation have led her t
 o volunteer her time with several organizations including co-leading PDX W
 omen on the Fly\, an affiliate group of Trout Unlimited\, located in Portl
 and\, Oregon. Callie also served on the executive board of directors for t
 he Coastal Conservation Association of North Carolina. During her time the
 re Callie served as communications co-chair\, co-director of the Fishing f
 or the Future kid's fishing tournaments and led the Crystal Coast Chapter 
 for several years of fundraising banquets. Callie also volunteered with th
 e East Kentucky Ladies chapter of Ducks Unlimited.\n\nCallie is currently 
 a Fly Fishers International Casting Instructor Candidate and plans to take
  her CI exam in the fall of 2023. She has begun teaching under Callie Free
 man Fly Fishing and hopes to continue to ease new members into the sport a
 nd aid seasoned anglers in improving their skill level.\n\nCallie lives in
  coastal NC with her husband\, Lieutenant Colonel Heath Freeman\, United S
 tates Marine Corps\, daughter and artist extraordinaire Emerson\, son and 
 professional gamer Everett and food-obsessed Labrador Benelli Rose.\nDrawi
