Bring your favorite chili and you may be crowned Chili King for the Year. This is one of our favorite events of the year and we are hoping for lots of participation. Bring your chili in a crock pot with a serving utensil and we will supply everything else including the electricity to keep your prized recipe hot.
**If you are bringing chili to the cook-off please fill out this form, you won’t pay to attend the May meeting!**
Our Program
Geri Meyer is the co-owner of the Driftless Area Fly Shop in Viroqua, Wisconsin….the heart of the Driftless Area. She is also one of the shop’s principle fly fishing guides. Geri is also the owner of Athena & Artemis Women’s Fly Shop, a place dedicated to clothing and gear for the female angler.
Geri will be talking about fishing the Driftless Area, one of the hidden treasures of trout fishing in the Midwest. The Driftless Area occupies parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. In square miles, it’s approximately the size of West Virginia. Southwestern Wisconsin is the Mecca of Driftless trout fishing, with more than 13,000 miles of designated trout streams and excellent public access. Native brook trout as well as brown and rainbow trout inhabit the streams in abundant numbers and make for some of the best fishing you will ever experience. Learn more about the Driftless Area HERE.
